ALEX LIGON
An Austin native, Alex grew up with lake life in her blood—her dad was a wakeboarder, her mom a slalom skier, and weekends on the water were the family’s norm. She strapped into a wakeboard at just 12 years old and was confidently driving boats long before she ever got behind the wheel of a car.
At Texas Tech, Alex competed with the university’s Wake Team, where her passion for board sports took off. That’s also where she discovered wakesurfing—the sport that quickly became her biggest obsession. Today, as a US Coast Guard–licensed Master Captain, Alex spends her days teaching water sports and sharing her love for boating on the lakes she’s always called home.
